Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that focuses on harmonizing the energy flow in a space to improve well-being and success. Here’s how you can use Feng Shui to choose the perfect study spot in your home:

1. Choose the Right Location

• Command Position: Place the desk in a “command position,” which means that when sitting at the desk, your child should be able to see the door without being directly in line with it. This placement allows them to feel secure and in control, which can enhance focus and concentration. Ideally, the desk should have a solid wall behind it, symbolizing support and stability.

• Avoid Direct Alignment with the Door: If possible, avoid placing the desk directly in line with the door. This position is believed to create a direct path for energy (or chi) to flow too quickly, which can lead to distractions and lack of focus.

• Natural Light and Fresh Air: Position the study area near a window to take advantage of natural light, which is energizing and uplifting. Fresh air is also important as it helps circulate energy and improve concentration. However, ensure that the view from the window is calming and not distracting.

2. Optimize Desk Placement and Organization

• Solid Support: As mentioned, having a solid wall behind the desk provides support and protection. Avoid placing the desk with its back to the door, as this position can create a sense of vulnerability and anxiety.
